Our Story.
We opened the doors of Ark of the Dunes Animal Hospital in 2001. Since this time we have taken pride in building personal connections and providing quality medicine to the Chesterton area. Dr. Julie Hyslop joined us in 2010. She purchased the practice from James T. Read, DVM in 2018. With the addition of Dr. Andrea Hargarten in 2019 we have a team dedicated to providing you with the best care.
We have a wonderful support staff that understands that your pet is a very important member of your family, which is why we treat your pet as if it were our own. We drive to uphold values of family, integrity, positivity, community and connection.
